Welcome back #CatwalkClubGirls, we hope you’re all safe and well!
A lot of us have started working from home, which means our daily routines have been considerably altered. For many, this may mean rolling out of bed at 8:59am, and ready to work for 9am. But let’s be realistic, the novelty will eventually wear off and it’ll just make you feel unproductive and slobbish.
So let’s talk about how we can get out of this slump with the power of fashion, and start feeling inspired and motivated with our workload again.
1. GET UP, GET DRESS
A super easy one for us all, but the power of getting dressed can make all the difference to our productivity levels, and must not be underestimated. ‘Dressing is a daily ritual, setting you up for the day and putting you in the right mindset,’ says the designer Rejina Pyo.
2. BREAK IN NEW SHOES
Wearing shoes whilst working from home, are you mad? Okay, maybe not everyone’s cup of tea… but it’s the perfect opportunity to break in those gorgeous shoes that you’re yet to wear because you didn’t want to risk being in pain whilst at the office. Instead, chuck on a fluffy pair of socks and break in those beauties!
3. JOIN THE #WFHstyle COMMUNITY
Let’s make our working from home attire a bit of fun! Whether you are an Instagram fanatic or just love your daily styling, make your daily outfits a little more interesting… join the #WFH club on Instagram and share your outfit of the day. Yes, that means no more comfy pj’s from 9-5!
4. BALANCE WORK & HOME LIFE
Although we’ve suggested getting dressed and motivated for the working from home life, it’s equally important to separate this time with #RAH life (relaxing at home). How do we do this? ‘Use clothes to draw a line between work time and you time,’ says the designer Olivia von Halle. There’s no better feeling than putting on your comfy clothes and putting your feet up, ready to binge a new series on Netflix after a long day at the home-office.
How are you remaining productive during the social distancing and isolation of COVID-19?
Keep safe and well everyone.
